The wigwag style throttle uses a potentiometer with 0-5K ohms resistance from one limit to the center position, and 5K-10k from center to the other limit. It has a 3-wire connection to the controller, and requires controller programming before operation. Thunderstruck provides this service when the throttle is ordered as part of a kit.
The throttle handle is 4" (102mm) long from center, has approximately 300 degrees of travel, and mounting requires a 2" (51mm) hole. See the Specifications tab for wiring information.
When purchased with one of our boat kits, if the motor is spinning in the wrong direction for the throttle position, you can simply unplug the throttle, reverse the orientation of the connector, and plug it back in - very simple!
